The course begins on October 1 and ends on September 30 of the following year.

What are the enrolment deadlines for students starting their doctorate?

There are two enrolment deadlines each academic year for students starting their doctorate:

- Students admitted in the 1st period: Registration in the period from September to October.

- Students admitted in the 2nd period: Registration in the period from January to February.

The dates of the registration deadlines can be found on the registration website.

If I start my doctoral studies in the January-February registration period, when will I have to enrol for my second doctoral studies?

The second and subsequent enrolments for academic supervision must always be made during the first period on the calendar: September-October.

What is the deadline for students in their second year and subsequent years?

The enrolment period for all second-year and subsequent students will take place in September-October.

When does enrolment for the defence of a doctoral thesis take place?

Can enrolment be requested after the deadline?

Yes, late enrolment may be requested, with prior justification and authorization from the Academic Committee and payment of the corresponding fee, by submitting the specific form the UdL's Electronic Office. All information on this link on the website.

 

How much does enroment for the first year cost? / How much does enrolment for the second year cost?

You will find the answer in the Prices section of the enrolment website. The published information details the concepts with the corresponding amounts, as an example of the cost of completing a doctorate in three years.

What are the payment methods for paying the enrolment fee?

The payment methods applicable to doctoral studies are the same as those provided for master's studies. All the information can be found on this link on the University of Lleida website.

How can foreign students who do not have residence in Spain pay the enrolment fee, once completed?

In this case, payment can be made by credit card at the time of self-enrolment. It can also be made within the corresponding period from the Receipt Management platform. Access to RECEIPT MANAGEMENT: you must enter the Virtual Campus "My workspace" > Utilities > Receipt Management.

I have self-enroled and have set up a direct debit for the registration fee. I have indicated a new bank account number and the Orden de domiciliación bancaria (SEPA) document has been generated. What should I do with this document?

You can submit this document to the Doctoral School's secretary's office, preferably through the Electronic Office using the form Application to submit documentation for enrolment; by post, at the address of the corresponding centre; in person, by making an appointment or by email, if it has not been possible to use any of the other methods.

Now that I have enrolled, what is the document that certifies my enrolment?

It is the document in PDF format that is generated at the end of the self-enrolment.

 

What is the Receipt Management application?

It is the online platform where you can carry out the following procedures:

  • Check the receipts for registrations already made
  • Print the registration receipts
  • Pay the registration receipts

Access to RECEIPT MANAGEMENT: you must enter the Virtual Campus "My workspace" > Utilities > Receipt Management.

 

Can the enrolment be waived once formalized?

In justified cases and within the specific deadline, the doctoral student can request the cancellation of the enrolment for the doctorate studies, with the agreement of the thesis supervisors. On this website you will find the calendar with the deadlines and the specific request to submit to the electronic Office.

Can the money from the cancelled enrolment be recovered?

The enrolment fee will be refunded only in the cases established in current regulations, such as: serious health reasons, unfavourable resolution of predoctoral aid, and compensation with a new enrolment fee. Under no circumstances will the amount corresponding to the learning support fee, academic file management fees, compulsory insurance, contracted services and voluntary contributions be returned.

 

 

Can I request a change in the mode of dedication of my studies?

Yes. In the admission form to the Doctorate Program, the interested person indicates whether they want to complete the studies full-time or part-time. This dedication can be changed, upon request submitted within the corresponding period and by means of the specific form, which you will find on this website.

Requests to change modality will not be accepted in cases where the doctoral student is within the extraordinary extension period. Doctoral students who have an aid will not be able to apply for the part-time modality. The tuition fees are the same for both types of studies.
