Concurs Hilo Tesis

The  #HiloTesis scientific dissemination contest, an initiative of the Network of Scientific Dissemination and Culture (RedDivulga) and the R+D+I Sector of the CRUE, aims to promote the development of communication and scientific dissemination skills of future or recent doctors, so that they can explain their research to the rest of society.   how they do it and why, taking advantage of social networks and their possibilities as a communication channel, adapting the content of the thesis and using simple, accessible and attractive language.

The participation values like 5 hours of activity of transversal formation.

WHERE CAN I PUBLISH?

As a new feature, posts must be on social media in thread format on BkueSky

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

All PhD students and new UdL PhDs who have satisfactorily passed at least one evaluation of the Activity Document and Research Plan (RAPI) or who have defended their doctoral thesis within a maximum period of 12 months prior to the start date of the competition

DURING WHAT PERIOD CAN PUBLICATIONS BE MADE?

The contest will run from 0:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3th to 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 (peninsular time)

Publications out of this period will NOT be considered

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

There will be 6 prizes of €500 each

In addition, if the winning participant is from the UdL, they will receive a maximum of 250 euros for registration to congresses

IMPORTANT: WHAT STEPS DO I NEED TO TAKE TO PARTICIPATE?

1- The first publication of the thread or carousel must include the hashtag #HiloTesis and, if possible, quote or tag in an image @RedDivulga, @filarramendi and the following accounts of the UdL: @doctoratudl.bsky.social and @udl.cat‬.bsky.social

2- Once the thread has been published, participants must register and provide the link to their thread through the form you'll find in the rules of the contest

3- Participants must send an email to escoladocctorat@udl.cat, with the subject "I participate in the 2025 #HiloTesis contest" with their personal data (full name and Doctoral Programme to which they are enrolled) and the link at the beginning of the thread or the first image; in order to ensure that the Doctoral School has proof of their participation

TAKE NOTE THAT:

The thread or carousel may be published in any of the co-official languages of the state, but the participant must provide the UdL with a version translated into Spanish in the case that it is chosen for the national phase

Participants must have the approval of the thesis supervisor and ensure that the information published is likely to be disseminated to the public

 

You will find the details of all the rules and instructions in the rules of the contest

Participation  in the competition is valued as a transversal training activity (5 hours)
